Introduction

Project Management is one of importance to LNG infrastructure projects because of the complex technology, large investment involved, and remote locations of liquification plants. There is requirement to source of materials, equipment, man power from different countries to site location leads the project coordination become a vital requiremen in managing project succesfully.

LNG projects, normally handling and execute by many participants from owners of the project, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and services company coming from different locations . The projects normally funded by large financial institutions and other shareholders. Therefore, managing the LNG project require strong project management background to achieve succefull completion of project within three contraints cost, qulaity and time.

Aims

The aim of this training is to introduce the participants the fundemental of Project Management and its application to the LNG Plants development. It ie expected to equip the participant with understanding of project sequence, important of pre-design, the commercial relationship of sponsor and contractor, asses risk in LNG project, undertand project execution risks, lanning stage focus, developing project program, aware about the project cost and cost control, understanding the quality assurance and quality control process, consider the EPC contractor selection and how EPC contracts in the project.
